The Airstream Globetrotter comes in four different floor plans, each offering modern European-inspired design:

23FB (Front Bedroom) - Available in Queen or Twin Beds:

  • Exterior Length: 23 feet 2 inches
  • Exterior Width: 8 feet
  • Exterior Height: 9 feet 7 inches (with A/C)
  • Interior Height: 6 feet 7 inches

25FB (Front Bedroom) - Available in Queen or Twin Beds:

  • Exterior Length: 25 feet 2 inches
  • Exterior Width: 8 feet 5.5 inches
  • Exterior Height: 9 feet 7 inches (with A/C)
  • Interior Height: 6 feet 7 inches

27FB (Front Bedroom) - Available in Queen or Twin Beds:

  • Exterior Length: 28 feet
  • Exterior Width: 8 feet 5.5 inches
  • Exterior Height: 9 feet 7 inches (with A/C)
  • Interior Height: 6 feet 7 inches

30RB (Rear Bedroom) - Available in Queen or Twin Beds:

  • Exterior Length: 30 feet 2 inches
  • Exterior Width: 8 feet 5.5 inches
  • Exterior Height: 9 feet 7 inches (with A/C)
  • Interior Height: 6 feet 7 inches

The twin bed configuration opens up the center aisle in all models, creating a more spacious feel throughout the interior. Twin beds are 5 inches longer than the queen beds at 80 inches versus 75 inches.

How many people does an Airstream Globetrotter sleep?

Globetrotter sleeping capacity depends on the floor plan you choose:

  • 23FB, 25FB, and 27FB models: Sleep up to 4 people
  • 30RB model: Sleeps up to 6 people

All models include sleeping space in the bedroom area (either queen bed at 60" x 75" or twin beds at 34" x 80") plus a convertible dinette that transforms into additional sleeping space. The 30RB includes extra seating and sleeping with its wrap-around lounge configuration.

Each Globetrotter features 12 to 22 windows and skylights throughout the trailer, bringing natural light into every space from the panoramic bedroom window to the dinette area.

What kind of vehicle do I need to tow an Airstream Globetrotter?

Your towing needs will vary by Globetrotter model. Here's what you need to know for safe towing:

General towing guidelines for all Globetrotter models:

  • Your tow vehicle's capacity should exceed the trailer's GVWR
  • Most mid-size and full-size trucks, SUVs, and larger crossovers work well
  • Look for vehicles with at least 1,000 pounds more towing capacity than the trailer's GVWR
  • A weight distribution hitch system is recommended for proper towing

The 27FB model has a GVWR of 7,600 pounds and matches well with many vehicles people already own. The smaller 23FB and 25FB models require less towing capacity, while the larger 30RB will need a more capable tow vehicle.

Your tow vehicle's hitch weight capacity must also handle the Globetrotter's tongue weight, which includes the weight of batteries and propane tanks. When in doubt, consult with our team at Airstream of San Diego to help match your vehicle to the right Globetrotter model.

When you buy from Airstream of San Diego, you'll receive a complete delivery walkthrough covering all systems and features. We suggest taking your first trip to a campground within a few hours of home. This gives you a chance to learn your trailer in a relaxed setting without the pressure of a long journey.

Important areas to master include:

  • Setting up and leveling your trailer at campsites
  • Connecting utilities like electric, water, and sewer hookups
  • Understanding the power system and monitoring battery levels
  • Using the Fusion Touchscreen stereo with Wi-Fi and Bluetooth features
  • Basic maintenance tasks like checking sealants and tire pressure
  • Proper winterization and spring setup procedures

The Globetrotter includes features that make RV life easier, like powered stabilizer jacks, powered awning, and high-end technology systems. These modern touches reduce the learning curve compared to older RV models.

Airstream provides extensive online resources through Airstream Academy, with videos, articles, and FAQs covering common topics. Plus, every new Airstream includes three years of Coach-Net 24/7 roadside assistance, so help is always available.

Most owners report that while the first trip involves some learning, by the second or third outing, everything becomes second nature. The key is being patient with yourself and remembering that every Airstreamer started exactly where you are now.
