The first meeting of the San Diego Unit was held in Palm Springs, CA on Oct 22nd,
1960.

On November 4th-6th, 1960 at San Clemente, CA.,Helen Schwamborn (first cousin of
Wally Byam) presented the group with the San Diego Charter.

In 1966, the San Diego Unit became a separate, incorporated, non-profit, private
social club under the laws of California.

On August 13th, 1976, a certificate of winding up and dissolution of the corporation
was filed with the Secretary of State of California, and the unit now operates under the
charter of the WBCCI.
